All are welcome!
“All are welcome here and we extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, gay, lesbian, transgender, filthy rich, dirt poor, yo no hablo inglés. We extend a special welcome to those who are crying newborns, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds. We welcome you if you can sing as beautifully as our cantors or like our pastor with a heavy Latino accent. You’re welcome here if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up or just got out of jail. We don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope or haven’t been in church since little Melissa’s Baptism. We welcome those who have been in this land for many generations and those who just arrived, the documented and the undocumented. We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome soccer moms, football dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians and junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems or you’re down in the dumps or if you don’t like “organized religion;” we’ve been there too. If you blew all your offering money betting on horses, tough luck for us. You’re still welcome here. We offer a special welcome to those who think the earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell, or because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church. We welcome those who are inked, pierced or both. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost in traffic and wound up here by mistake. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts ... In short, we welcome you!”

Faith Direct

Faith Direct

As you are probably aware, church attendance during
the summer months tends to drop off as vacations and
weekend sporting events often conflict. On the other hand,
the services we provide within the parish and for the larger
community continue year round, as do their associated
expenses. Thus, your consistent financial support of our
parish is vital to achieving our stewardship mission.
The easiest way to be sure that your gift of treasure reaches
us, even when you can’t be here, is through enrollment in our
electronic offertory program: Faith Direct. If you have not
yet enrolled, please consider doing so this month.

Enroll today!   www.faithdirect.net and use our parish code NJ23.

Thank you in advance for your support and for using Faith Direct!

Are you searching for a Church community?
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Are you searching for a Church community to call your own?

Do you know any adults who might be interested in joining our Franciscan community at St Mary's?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults are formally received into the Roman Catholic Church.

RCIA is a journey of faith where adults are introduced to the Church and is the process by which adults who were never baptized or were baptized in another Christian tradition or those who were baptized as Catholics and never received Confirmation or Eucharist complete their Sacraments of Initiation.

RCIA Inquiry sessions are ongoing, for more information, please contact Keith Orotosky at 973.476.4398 or korotosky@stmarys-pompton.org.
Dear
Annual Fund -Our building of God's Kingdom
Annual Fund
Annual Fund

Since we launched our Annual Fund, we have raised $151,413 in total pledges of which we have received $139,127 so far. To date, 570 families have made a gift toward our goal of $325,000. If you have not yet contributed to this year’s Annual Fund, I urge you to do so now. I would love to count you among those donors in my next report! This annual fund is vital to the operation of the parish and our building of God’s Kingdom at Saint Mary’s. Without the income from the Annual Fund we cannot sustain the activities and ministries of our parish. If you've never made a gift to the Annual Fund, or if it's been a while since your last gift, may I ask that you consider a gift of $100 or more this year.

Each year I am amazed and humbled by the commitment that you and people like you make to St. Mary's. Once again, thank you for your generosity. I hope I can count on you to support this year's Annual Fund. Thanks for all you do for us and be assured of my prayers and the prayers of all the friars for you and your loved ones.

Your brother and servant in Christ, in the spirit of Francis of Assisi, Fr. Gonzalo

Helping our ministries continue our Christian and Franciscan Mission
