A Journey Through the Gospel of Mark A Journey Through the Gospel of Mark
Join with other parishioners and Fr Larry in prayerfully studying the first written gospel. We will gather weekly, each Monday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 PM for 8 weeks, from February 4th through March 25th, in the Conference Room (next door to the Prayer Room), to explore Mark’s unique way of presenting the Good News and to consider how we might apply the message, teachings and example of Jesus to our own lives and times.

Job Opening at St Mary's

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a progressive Catholic community rooted in the Franciscan tradition is seeking a passionate, dynamic individual to be a part of our pastoral staff as the Coordinator of Special Needs Ministry. This individual will work with children, youth and adults with special needs as they grow in their Christian faith as fully participating members in their church. The ministry aims to support all those with special needs in all aspects of their spiritual growth as well as provide social events.

Primary responsibilities include:
Planning, scheduling and teaching religious education to students preparing for Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation
Plan a yearly summer camp program for youth and adults
Set up and facilitate social events for adults throughout the year
Recruit and train adult volunteers
Meet with families that are signing up to attend program

The candidate for this position should fulfill the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, 2-4 years experience working with special needs ministry, model Catholic lifestyle and behavior, excellent communication, organizational, management and interpersonal skills. This is a part time position with salary commensurate with experience.
