The Staff of St. Mary’s Parish gathered yesterday to honor three great women
on the occasion of their retirement.

We will all miss Claire Fagan, Terry Walsh, and Gisela Moore
and thank them for their decades of service to our parish family.
May God continue to bless them and their work!

St. Mary’s Church collected over 10,000 pounds of computer and electronics equipment to be recycled or reused. Thanks to Jackie Schramm and the St. Mary’s Social Justice Ministry for arranging the collection!

FRANCIS WEEK AT ST. MARY’S, POMPTON LAKES, NJ
MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2018 + 7:30 PM
St. Mary’s Church

#Blessed: A Conversation with Two Millennials on Franciscan Values,
Young Adults and the Modern Church
Speakers: Maria Hayes and Benjamin Simpson
Description: Franciscan values naturally lend themselves to meeting millennial needs – in the Church, in the workplace and in everyday life – even though most millennials do not consider themselves religious.

During this talk, two 20-somethings will discuss how the 800-year-old Franciscan charism is still relevant to their generation, the inspiration they draw from Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi, and and why their peers – even their non-Catholic friends – are proud to call themselves Franciscan.

“Rebuild My House”

               A Building Repair Campaign
Addressing what needs to be done to rebuild God’s "physical house” here at St. Mary’s.

We need your help to raise $700,000 to repair our buildings so we may continue to fulfill our Christian and Franciscan Mission at St Mary’s for many years to come.

Please go to "Rebuild My House" page for more information

Welcome to LGBT Catholics PRAY  SERVE  GIVE All are welcome!

St. Mary’s is inspired to action by the charism of St. Francis of Assisi to welcome, worship and witness. By welcoming, celebrating and engaging, we are an example to our Catholic Community in fostering an inclusive environment.
Many tri-state parishes and retreat centers are especially welcoming to LGBT Catholics. Please explore the Interparish Collaborative at

As you are probably aware, church attendance during
the summer months tends to drop off as vacations and
weekend sporting events often conflict. On the other hand,
the services we provide within the parish and for the larger
community continue year round, as do their associated
expenses. Thus, your consistent financial support of our
parish is vital to achieving our stewardship mission.
The easiest way to be sure that your gift of treasure reaches
us, even when you can’t be here, is through enrollment in our
electronic offertory program: Faith Direct. If you have not
yet enrolled, please consider doing so this month.

Enroll today!   www.faithdirect.net and use our parish code NJ23.

Thank you in advance for your support and for using Faith Direct!
