The Peace of Christmas

A Time For Healing
Sunday, December 21, during our Noon Mass
As a community, with our Celebrant Father Frank Sevola, we will hold close in prayer our sisters and brothers journeying through losses and difficulties during the holidays. Come be with us as we offer personal intentions of comfort and strength as we prepare to embrace the birth of our Lord.

Free-Will Bread Sale
December 20-21
After all Masses

Dear Parishioners,
First of all, thank you for letting us come to your parish; we are indeed happy to be here. The free-will bread sale will go to the support of the Franciscan Volunteer Ministry (FVM), a ministry of Holy Name Province devoted to young adults and direct service with the poor.
The items we will be selling are: apple sauce bread, ginger bread, Boston Brown, cranberry upside down bread, a Christmas bread, apple bread and another absolutely delicious Christmas bread. Besides this, we will also have a table with breads from around the world: Italian panettone, Basque shepherd bread, pan d’oro, and a nice German Stollen. These will not be for sale, just for tasting. ~Fr. Bill

Hope you enjoy eating the breads
as much as we enjoyed making them!

Bambinelli Sunday

Every year in St. Peter’s Square the Pope celebrates “Bambinelli Sunday.”
Children and young people
are invited to bring the Infant Jesus from their
home nativity set to be blessed by the Pope.

Fr. Frank has graciously agreed to bless the Infant Jesus from
our home nativity sets
on Sunday, December 21, after the 12:00 mass.
 Please join us.

“The place that God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” ~Frederick Buechner (reflecting on the meaning of VOCATION)

2014 Bishop's Annual Appeal
Many members of our parish have received or will soon receive, a letter from Bishop Serratelli asking you to support the 2014 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. This year’s theme is Be An Ambassador for Christ. One way to fulfill that call is to support the many ministries and services that receive financial support from the Appeal.
Reflect on the gifts that God is constantly giving to each of us and on our gratitude for these gifts, then please give to the Appeal as generously as your means allow.
[When our parish reaches its goal in cash received, 50% of the additional funds received will be returned to us for use in our parish.]
Thank you for your support.
