Franciscan Response
What are you doing to “Care for Creation?”

Pope Francis’ homily at the mass when he received the “Fisherman’s Ring” beseeches: “Let us be ‘Protectors’ of Creation, Protectors of God’s plan inscribed in nature, Protectors of one another and of the environment.”

The Peoples Climate March in NYC, Sunday, September 21, will bring over 700 organizations together including our very own Franciscan Response group here at St. Mary’s and our provinces’ Franciscan Action Network (www.franciscanaction.org). The purpose of this march is to reiterate our Pope’s message and urge world leaders to make bold commitments toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions now. We invite you to HOP ON A BUS ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, TO NYC.

Email Jackie Schramm at jschramm@stmarys-pompton.org if you wish to be part of this historic event!

RCIA INQUIRY

Are you searching for a church community to call your own?
Do you know any adults who might be interested in joining our Franciscan community?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults [RCIA] is the process by which adults are formally received into the Roman Catholic Church.
RCIA is a journey of faith where adults are introduced to the church and is the process by which adults who were never baptised, or were baptized in another Christian tradition or those who were baptized as Catholics and never received Confirmation or Eucharist, complete their Sacraments of Initiation.

RCIA Inquiry sessions are ongoing; for more information, please contact Steve Kass at 973.879.3102 or stephenbkass@gmail.com
