A ministry of St. Mary’s Parish

September 2016

Dear Fellow Parents,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 School Year and the next chapter in our children’s lives. The entire school community is more vibrant and stronger than ever because of all the students and faculty who have returned and the new students and faculty who have joined our family this year.  As we embark on this next step, it is worth beginning with our Mission Statement:

The Mission of St. Mary’s School is to educate the “whole child” –spiritually, emotionally, socially and academically through the collaborative efforts of staff and parents whose lives reflect the Gospel message.

Our St. Mary’s family is truly a gift from God.  We share in one another’s laughter, tears, joys and sorrows. We work together harmoniously to ensure a thriving school community. It is with the dedication of our superior faculty and staff as well as our parents and students that allows St. Mary’s to flourish and grow.  The education our children receive here is unparalleled.  But it is the opportunity to provide the “fair ability to pay” scholarship that is truly unique in today’s climate.  We are proud of the fact that St Mary’s remains a thriving school that provides a Catholic education to all who desire it for their children.

Naturally, we could not start the year without our first Home-School meeting being held on September 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carnival Center.  We will be updating you on the Car Raffle as well as pulling the winner of the new Tuition Raffle.  Mrs. LaSalle will be reporting on all of the school’s upcoming initiatives and the Back-To-School Night teacher introductions will take place.  The meeting will conclude with leaving time for visitation to our children’s classrooms.  Additionally at this meeting there will be the Scrip table, Kid Stuff books sales, a 50/50 raffle, and of course, a snack!

As many of you know our four Home-School meetings during the year are key in communicating the important responsibilities we all share in financing our school as well as information on curriculum and other matters affecting our kids.  Below are a list of for the remainder of the HSA meeting dates.  It is quite essential to have at least one parent attend these informative meetings.  Children are encouraged NOT to attend the meetings.  Each meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.  For your planning the date are: December 5th; March 20th;

May 15th.

We hope you had a great summer and are excited about our upcoming year. We thank you in advance for all our help and support in making this such a successful year for our children; we certainly could not do this without all of YOU!

We look forward to seeing you all on Monday, September 19th !
